Technical Support

AMI Imaging prides itself in having a fully trained, certified and professional technical support staff. Our technicians are factory trained on all hardware we offer and certified in all of our imaging software solutions. We also have experienced programmers for the creation of custom applications or to help resolve unique technical issues. If the following FAQ's do not help solve your problem please call our main support number at (856) 642-1188.

Imaging FAQ

Scanner not Feeding

1. Check for obstructions (i.e. paperclips, staples, etc.)
2. Clean or replace rubber feed rollers.
3. Replace foam feed rollers.

Feeding Multiple Pages

1. Check throat adjustment. (if available)
2. Replace separator pad/belt or reverse roller assembly. (refer to Operator's manual)

Lines in Image

1. Clean glass on ADF assembly. (auto document feeder)
2. Replace glass if scratched.
3. Check for items stuck in the ADF.
4. Check for a loose cable between the PC and scanner.

Error Message:
"Clean Feed Roller"

1. Clean feed rollers.
2. Clear error message through software.

Error Message:
"Replace Feed Rollers"

1. Replace feed rollers.
2. Clear error message through software.

Unable to Log in

1. Ensure you are logged in to the network and the imaging software.
2. Ensure the "Caps Lock" is off.
3. Check your spelling.
4. Ensure the Database is running. (Please check with your IT staff for assistance)

Micrographics FAQ

No Power

1. Ensure the service doors are not ajar.
2. Check service door interlocks are engaged.
3. Ensure the machine is plugged in.
4. If plugged into a surge suppressor ensure surge suppressor is on and not tripped.

Blank Prints

1. Check toner supply. (make sure Mylar tab is removed on cartridge)
2. Ensure the imaging unit is fully inserted.

No Light

1. Replace the light bulb. (refer to Operator's manual)
2. See "No Power" above.

Film won't load

1. Ensure the roll film carrier is plugged in.
2.Check for stuck film or film pieces on both the supply and take-up sides of the carrier.
3. Ensure the film is being loaded properly. (refer to Operator's manual)

Copies light

1. Check toner level.
2. Check lamp.
3. Clean glass and all optics. (lens & mirrors)
5. Check film polarity setting.
6. Check exposure setting level and manual/auto setting.

Copies Dark

1. Check toner level.
3. Check lamp.
4. Clean glass and all optics. (lens & mirrors)
5. Check film polarity setting.
6. Check exposure setting level and manual/auto setting.

Error Codes

1. "P1","P2","P3" = paper jam.
2. "P0","P1","PE" = out of paper
3. "C4","C3","E0" = fuser malfunction
4. "E5","L2" = check lamp
